Who We Are
We are a financial consulting firm serving entrepreneurs, business owners, and investors. We fill the financial expertise and bandwidth gap for investors on a deal-by-deal basis and help entrepreneurs improve the finance function within their business and prepare for a liquidity event.
Team
Emmett Corrigan, Founder
Emmett founded Overflow Financial Partners to fill the financial expertise and bandwidth gap for underserved entrepreneurs and investors as they seek to grow their business or portfolio. He believes working and partnering with great people can be the difference in any business.
Prior to Overflow Financial Partners, Emmett worked for North Branch Capital, an Oak Brook-based private equity firm focusing on buyouts of industrial businesses in the lower middle market. Emmett was responsible for evaluating and underwriting new investments in addition to managing existing investments. Prior to North Branch, Emmett worked in BMO Harris Bank's Sponsor Finance group where he focused exclusively on underwriting and managing senior debt facilities for private equity-backed middle market businesses. Emmett began his career in PwC's Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services group where he advised on complex accounting issues within various capital markets transactions.
Emmett earned a BBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Iowa.
Emmett is the Co-Founder of Not Your Father's Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He spends his weekends playing below average golf and cheering for football teams that don't like to score - the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Bears.
